Dedicated student Heather staying the course at Renoir’s portrait, Misia Sert. 

“Sat furthest from the camera, one of my A-Level students sketches a painting by Renoir unaware that she is being sketched by the artist next to her; the scene is captured on the iPhone in the foreground. It was interesting to see how much attention these two attracted, possibly because watching their drawings develop was like a performance in its own right.

It was fascinating to watch. We try to impress on our students the importance of really looking at whatever it is they are working from and seeing the intensity and focus that was sustained amid the gallery hubbub was brilliant.”
